4 Houses Community Pool — Residential to Commercial Code Compliance Conversion

Kure Beach, NC
April 2024

Project Summary

One-week April 2024 conversion of residential pool to commercial code compliance for Airbnb/condo property rental use. Unique structural challenge with concrete floor but plywood walls that were deteriorating in sandy soil. Skimmers and jets suspended in soil, not mounted. Concrete walkway on top created falling-in effect. Complete structural rebuild with new framing, supports under slab to hold new pool walls and prevent deck sinking, rot-proof K bracing and pool walls. Relocated and properly mounted plumbing. Custom membrane work on fiberglass staircase for uniform appearance. Added hydrostatic valves and revamped internal plumbing for public use compliance.
