The Sands at Lido Beach — Full Pool Tear-Out & Remodel

Project Summary

All of June 2023 full remodel of beachside pool in dire need. After site inspection, determined concrete breaking apart due to poor conditions requiring full tear-out with jackhammers and mini excavator. Deep end filled in based on actual use, requiring main drain plumbing redirection to 2 new main drains. Original 30 wall jets had ugly commercial brass shower drain hoppers and 12-inch main drain covers. All skimmers and sidewalk replaced. Custom equalizer plumbing with small VGBA fittings replaced large main drain covers on equalizers. Custom plates with eyeball fittings covered old brass hoppers. Extensive grinding, resurfacing, custom embedded fittings, skimmer throat reforming, all new coping, unique wall-mounted lean-on step, two corner staircases with floor-mounted handrails. Ensured pumps primed correctly given distance and height difference between main drains and pump room.
